The algorithmic filtering of online journalism creates over-individualized bubbles. The individual no longer perceives anything except the echoes of the echo of their own voice. A democratic public in the sense of a discursive redistribution is becoming increasingly impossible.

Echos confronts the viewer with different variations of a news broadcast in 100 seconds. They are possible echoes of possible sets of values and social realities. News broadcasts are based on their unquestioned credibility. This fictional scenario on the other hand asks the viewer what is being told and how it is told.
